Upgrading Legacy Systems
Legacy systems have stood the test of time and continue to support business operations with reliability and consistency. Sadly, the world is moving on. Technology is evolving, workflows require seamless integration, and older platforms often struggle to remain compatible. Maintaining old infrastructure becomes expensive, and the availability of [skilled individuals] is declining.
Our goal is simple: assist businesses transition to forward-looking systems while retaining the organisational knowledge embedded in their legacy applications. We aim to maintain the stability, reliability, and simplicity that made these systems invaluable, qualities that are becoming harder to find in contemporary platforms.
dBASE Systems
Released in 1979 and originally known as Vulcan, dBase (or dBASE) was a pioneering database management system and IDE; arguably the backbone of early business software. Its influence led to the development of variations such as FoxPro, Clipper, and the broader xBase family.
However, as computing shifted towards networked environments and cloud-based architecture, dBase struggled to keep pace with new expectations and development patterns. What once felt limitless now faces practical boundaries.
Our team consists of members experienced in dBASE versions 10 and 2019. This dual familiarity gives us a unique advantage: we understand how to translate legacy logic into sustainable and future-ready solutions without losing what made the original systems effective.
